Amnesty International works in Australia
and around the world to defend women, men and children suffering at the
hands of those who would deny them their right to dignity, freedom,
justice and peace. To do this, we mobilise people, campaign,
investigate and expose human rights abuse wherever they occur. Amnesty
International does not receive government funding for this work and
relies entirely on the passionate concern of individuals.
The Fred Hollows Foundation is a non-government organisation which seeks to eradicate avoidable blindness in developing countries and to improve the health outcomes of Indigenous Australians.
